Position Overview
The Clerk: Despatch role is ideal for candidates seeking entry-level logistics jobs, warehouse clerk roles, or supply chain opportunities in KwaZulu-Natal.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate despatch and receipt of stock, maintaining records, and supporting daily depot operations.
This role is perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Handling & Logistics
- Load and offload trucks safely and efficiently
- Ensure correct stock is dispatched and received
- Verify stock against documentation
Stock Control & Administration
- Conduct daily stock counts
- Reconcile discrepancies and maintain accurate records
- Ensure all stock documentation is completed correctly
Compliance & Audits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Follow company policies and stock control procedures
Operational Support
- Assist the Depot Supervisor with daily tasks
- Support smooth warehouse and depot operations
- Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid Forklift Licence
Skills & Experience
- Basic understanding of stock control procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow processes accurately
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- English fluency (written and spoken)
