Position Overview
Prestige Cosmetics Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Retail Development Manager (Beaute Division) to manage and grow a defined retail portfolio within the Cape Town region.
This role focuses on driving sales growth, managing retail operations, leading teams of Beauty Consultants, and ensuring strong brand execution across all assigned stores.
You will be responsible for delivering commercial performance, maintaining brand standards, and strengthening retailer relationships while ensuring operational excellence across all counters and retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Performance Management
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Develop and implement sell-out strategies
- Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly
- Drive promotional events and retail activations
Budget & Financial Control
- Manage expenses within approved budgets
- Ensure staffing and operational costs are controlled
- Approve staff claims and monitor financial efficiency
Stock & Merchandising
- Ensure proper stock levels across all stores
- Manage tester and promotional stock
- Maintain brand merchandising standards
- Oversee product launches and in-store activations
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with retail partners
- Negotiate retail space, staffing, and promotional needs
- Collaborate with internal head office departments
Reporting & Administration
- Provide monthly performance and competitor reports
- Conduct store visit reports and action plans
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Team Leadership
- Recruit and manage Beauty Consultants
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions
- Identify training needs and drive development
- Build a strong, motivated, high-performance team culture
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 3–5 years retail operations experience
- 3–5 years management experience
- Proven track record in sales performance and team leadership
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
