Position Overview

Faircape Group is seeking experienced and compassionate Carers to join their healthcare teams at Tokai Estate and Cle Du Cap in the Southern Suburbs.

This role is ideal for individuals with caregiving experience who are passionate about supporting elderly residents and patients requiring specialised care. You will play a vital role in ensuring comfort, dignity, and a safe environment for all residents.


Key Responsibilities

Personal Care & Daily Support

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal hygiene care in line with individual care plans
  • Assist residents during meals and feeding where necessary

Emotional Support & Companionship

  • Offer companionship and emotional support to residents
  • Accompany residents on walks and daily activities
  • Encourage participation in social and recreational programmes

Patient Monitoring & Reporting

  • Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour
  • Accurately record care activities using the Healthware system
  • Escalate concerns to senior staff promptly

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow infection control and health & safety procedures
  • Participate in night shift monitoring (camera watch duties)
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic care environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Carer or in a similar healthcare environment
  • Carer training from a recognised institution (advantageous)
  • SETA accreditation (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of:
    • Dementia care
    • Palliative care
    • Rehabilitative care
  • Clear health, criminal, and credit record
  • Contactable written references (mandatory)

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Shifts: 16.25 shifts per month
  • Day Shift: 07:00 – 19:00
  • Night Shift: 19:00 – 07:00 (includes night allowance)
