Position Overview: Risk & Compliance Officer
Signature Cosmetics is recruiting a Risk and Compliance Officer based at its Head Office in Edenvale.
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, managing risk exposure, reducing shrinkage, and strengthening security systems across retail outlets.
You will play a key role in audits, investigations, and implementing effective risk management strategies within the retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce company policies and monitor compliance across retail stores
- Implement and maintain risk management procedures
- Secure retail outlets against theft, fraud, and operational risks
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm responses
- Investigate theft, fraud, and POS system breaches
- Compile case files for disciplinary or legal action
- Conduct audits and risk assessments across stores
- Identify high-risk stores and recommend security improvements
- Ensure shrinkage control measures are implemented effectively
- Compile monthly risk and compliance reports
- Support Health & Safety compliance across business areas
- Assist with OHS risk assessments and safety awareness training
- Analyse trends and highlight fraudulent or non-compliant activities
- Work closely with Area Managers and Operations teams
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Diploma or Degree in Risk Management, Security, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk management, compliance, or investigations
- Valid driver’s license (3+ years driving experience)
- Experience in retail environment
- Experience in audits, investigations, and compliance enforcement
Advantageous Qualifications
- Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management
- SAMTRAC (Safety Management Training Course) Certificate
- Health & Safety experience
