Signature Cosmetics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to join their Head Office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build strong analytical and commercial experience within a fast-paced retail environment.

Role Purpose
The Junior Business Analyst will support the business by analysing sales, margin, stock, customer, and market data to produce clear, actionable insights. The role focuses on improving decision-making across departments including Operations, Marketing, Finance, Inventory, and Ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports with meaningful insights
• Assist in building and maintaining dashboards to track business performance
• Analyse data trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision-making
• Maintain and update BI tools and reporting systems
• Support the development of performance and portfolio reports
• Translate business needs into clear, structured reporting outputs
• Present data in a simplified and user-friendly format using charts and summaries
• Participate in data improvement initiatives, including automation and AI tools
• Manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic work environment

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field

Experience & Skills

• 2–3 years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related field (including internships)
• Working knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, formulas, data cleansing)
• Exposure to AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) is advantageous
• Ability to work with large datasets and present clear insights
• Understanding of retail concepts such as sales performance, pricing, and margins (or willingness to learn)
