Position Overview
Power Fashion is currently looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Piketberg store. This role supports the Store Manager in daily operations and ensures that store standards, sales performance, and customer service excellence are consistently maintained.
The successful candidate will play a key role in retail operations, staff supervision, stock control, and sales growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Support
- Assist and relieve the Store Manager in their absence
- Ensure all store operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
Cash & Financial Controls
- Oversee banking of daily cash takings
- Manage the cash office and front-end controls
- Ensure accuracy and accountability in all financial processes
Stock Management & Shrinkage Control
- Monitor stock levels and reduce stock loss
- Ensure proper merchandising and stock presentation
- Maintain shrinkage control and security standards
Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Assist in managing, supervising, and motivating store staff
- Support training and development of team members
- Maintain discipline and uphold company culture
Sales & Customer Service
- Introduce and support sales initiatives to meet targets
- Deliver excellent customer service and enhance customer experience
- Ensure the store environment is clean, organised, and welcoming
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics advantageous) or NQF Level 4
- Previous experience managing staff or a department
- Experience in clothing retail (highly advantageous)
- Strong communication and administrative skills
