National Account Manager Assistant Job Overview
The National Account Manager Assistant will provide administrative and strategic support to the National Account Manager responsible for the Pick n Pay account.
The role involves account planning, promotional management, forecasting, market research, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
National Account Support
- Assist in building relationships with customer representatives
- Support the development of account strategies and customer plans
- Follow up on product listings and promotional initiatives
- Attend corporate meetings and customer reviews
Sales & Forecasting
- Participate in sales volume forecasting
- Monitor and report customer sales performance
- Track the success of promotions and growth initiatives
Market Research & Innovation
- Conduct competitor and market research
- Translate insights into product and business opportunities
- Present product innovations to customers
Promotional & Pricing Management
- Manage promotional activity schedules
- Control customer advertising budgets
- Ensure pricing and promotional compliance
Reporting & Presentation Development
- Prepare presentations, graphs, and charts
- Develop professional sales collateral
- Conduct regular assortment analysis
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Marketing and Sales Diploma or Degree
- Valid Code EB Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in account management or administration
- FMCG industry experience
