Position Overview: Programme Coordinator Post Graduate
Rosebank College Online is seeking an experienced Programme Coordinator (Post Graduate) to support postgraduate programmes and ensure exceptional teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
This role combines academic coordination, online lecturing, student support, and quality assurance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Coordination
- Monitor lecturer performance, engagement, and attendance
- Coordinate teaching and learning delivery according to module pacers
- Manage subject meetings and academic interventions
- Analyze module results and identify at-risk areas
Online Teaching
- Deliver lectures and facilitate student engagement
- Update the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Provide academic feedback to students
Student Support
- Monitor student retention, progression, and dropout rates
- Design interventions based on academic performance data
- Assist with student registration and orientation
Quality Assurance
- Ensure consistency in curriculum delivery
- Coordinate master classes and mock assessments
- Support lecturer orientation and development
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education Studies, Curriculum Studies, Educational Management, or related field
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (advantageous)
- Training and Development qualification (advantageous)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching and learning
- Proven programme coordination experience
- Experience in postgraduate supervision or academic research is advantageous
- Strong experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

- Knowledge of South African higher education systems
- Understanding of teaching and learning theory
- Strong student support skills
- Ability to work in digital academic environments
- Excellent time management and organization
- Adaptability in changing environments
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
