Position Overview: Part-Time Lecturer – Political Sciences
Rosebank College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Part-Time Lecturer in Political Sciences to join its academic team in Gqeberha.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging lectures, support students academically, assess coursework, and contribute to the development of the Political Sciences discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Present lectures in physical or online classrooms
- Facilitate student consultations
- Mark assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Analyze module results
- Identify and support at-risk students
- Apply teaching and learning interventions
- Contribute to academic excellence and student success
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Honours or Master’s Degree in Political Sciences or International Relations
OR
- Honours or Master’s Degree in a related field such as Public Administration or Social Sciences, with Political Science studied up to third-year level
Experience
- 2–3 years of lecturing or tutoring experience
- Experience in online tutoring or higher education teaching
