About the Role
Empact Group Food Solutions is seeking a dedicated Ward Hostess to join its team in Cape Town, Western Cape. Reporting directly to the Unit Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all ward food and beverage stations remain fully stocked, hygienic, and organized. In this role, you will deliver meals and refreshments to patients and clients in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, attending to special requests to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
This role requires a compassionate, customer-focused individual with a strong work ethic and solid experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, basic mathematical capabilities, analytical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence and strict hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities of a Ward Hostess
Patient & Client Food Service

Serve food and beverages to patients, clients, and visitors promptly and professionally.

Attend attentively to customer requests to ensure high levels of satisfaction and comfort.

Provide friendly, compassionate service across all ward food delivery touchpoints.
Station Management & Stock Control

Ensure all food and beverage preparation areas and ward pantries are fully stocked at all times.

Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organized working environment in compliance with health standards.

Support the Unit Manager across operational areas to deliver top-quality food service.
Operational Excellence & Compliance

Support company and client objectives across operational performance, financial discipline, and client satisfaction.

Track inventory and assist with basic operational record-keeping using fundamental math and analytical skills.
Minimum Requirements – Ward Hostess
Educational Qualifications:

High School Diploma / Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a Ward Hostess or identical role (essential)
