About the Role
TWK Agri is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and field-ready Marketer: Timber to manage timber marketing activities across the Piet Retief region in Mpumalanga. In this role, you will bridge the gap between forest operations, timber mills, suppliers, and markets. Your responsibilities span volume planning, price administration, delivery scheduling, compliance verification (EUDR, DDS, Chain of Custody), contractor deductions, and market expansion.
This position combines operational administration with hands-on field engagement. You will conduct site visits, farmer and agent audits, and outdoor verification while ensuring raw material delivery requirements are met. The ideal candidate thrives in an outdoor environment, possesses strong spreadsheet and reporting skills, holds a valid driver’s license, and is willing to travel and work after hours when operational demands require.
Key Responsibilities of a Marketer: Timber
Operational Market Coordination & Delivery Management

Plan monthly volume requirements, distribute market orders, schedule deliveries, and track order fulfillment daily.

Liaise directly with local and export markets to ensure timber orders, specifications, and quality standards are met.

Coordinate with timber mills to ensure raw material delivery requirements and weighbridge schedules run smoothly.

Manage timber pricing structures, approvals, and system adjustments for corporate suppliers, farmers, and agents.

Oversee supplier tickets, allocation registers, weighbridge documentation, and follow-up on outstanding tickets.
Compliance, Certification & Audit Management

Administer Chain of Custody (COC), Due Diligence Systems (DDS), EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation), and environmental certification records.

Conduct field verifications, EUDR polygon tracking, farmer site visits, and annual agent audits.

Assist with the implementation of certification standards and support internal/external audit preparation.

Manage Corrective Action Reports (CAR), Integrated Management System (IMS) updates, and safety meeting compliance.
Supplier Service, Fieldwork & Administrative Support

Maintain accurate records for suppliers, landowners, contractors, mapping, compartments, and AS400 business systems.

Verify contractor deductions, cash-account statements, and invoicing; resolve billing discrepancies between suppliers and markets.

Support standing-plantation activities, including enumerations, offers, and stump-to-mill operations.

Prepare monthly tracking, volume forecasting, management memos, and operational updates.
