Job Description:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a committed and customer-oriented Cosmetic Consultant for their La Lucia store. The role involves promoting and selling cosmetic and beauty products while ensuring excellent customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Retail experience as a sales consultant.
- Computer literate.
- Willingness to work retail hours.
Advantageous:
- Experience in cosmetics, fragrances, or beauty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address serious and unresolved customer complaints by escalating them to the manager.
- Provide high-quality customer care and service.
- Conduct product demonstrations, makeovers, and spray promotions.
- Manage stock levels according to company procedures, including reporting shortages, damage, and expired stock.
- Ensure attractive merchandising and displays.
- Achieve sales targets for department, brand, and vendor income.
- Stay updated on products, brands, and retail industry trends.
- Handle cosmetic, fragrance, and beauty house promotions.
- Manage salon appointments.
- Adhere to Dis-Chem’s policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations.
Competencies:
Essential:
- Strong English communication skills (written and oral).
- Team-oriented.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Understanding of stock reports and sales targets, including commission calculations.
- Ability to follow task schedules.
Advantageous:
- Skills in promotions, personal selling, and customer liaison.
- Prior sales and promotional training.
- Experience in managing expired and damaged stock with effective stock rotation.
- Bilingual proficiency.
- Stock management expertise.
