Job Purpose

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communication initiatives that promote the club’s offerings, manage its brand identity, and foster strong relationships with members, local businesses, and the broader community. The role involves managing events, driving promotional campaigns, and leading efforts to secure sponsorships to elevate the club’s status.

Minimum Education (Essential):

  • A relevant degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or Communications.

Minimum Applicable Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or events management.

Required Nature of Experience:

  • Event Management & Marketing: Experience in managing and promoting events, particularly non-golf-based events.
  • IT & Social Media Literacy: Proficient in digital marketing, social media management, and IT tools.
  • Brand Management: Expertise in developing and maintaining a strong brand identity.
  • B2B & B2C Marketing: Experience in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing.
  • Public Relations & Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in public relations, digital marketing, sponsorships, and community engagement.
  • Strategic Communications: Ability to develop and execute communication strategies across multiple channels (print, digital, social media, PR, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market the Club:
    • Raise the club’s profile among the public and existing members.
    • Execute social media campaigns to increase awareness of the club’s facilities.
    • Build relationships with the local community, including estates and businesses.
    • Promote sponsorship opportunities and market club events.
  2. Non-Golf Event Management:
    • Communicate with clients, handle quotes, bookings, and contracts.
    • Manage event setups, activations, and sponsorships.
    • Provide event feedback and coordinate with the Food & Beverage team.
  3. Enhance the Club’s Family-Friendly Appeal:
    • Identify and implement incremental improvements around the club to enhance its image and marketability.
    • Source potential sponsors to fund these improvements and other club initiatives.

Other Requirements:

  • Transport: Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
