Job Title: Housekeeper / Laundry Attendant

Job Overview:
We are looking for an attentive and dedicated Housekeeper or Laundry Attendant to join our team in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment. If you’re passionate about keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly, this role could be a great fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of laundry and ensure correct items are assigned to the right owner.
- Follow laundry care labels to preserve the quality of garments and linens.
- Inspect laundry for stains and damage, reporting issues to management when necessary.
- Treat stains using appropriate methods to minimize damage to laundry.
- Handle laundry items, equipment, and room items with care.
- Perform minor sewing tasks when required and approved.
- Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and classification for efficient processing.
- Wash, dry, iron, and fold laundry with precision, following correct procedures for each task.
- Manage dry cleaning items by sorting and updating inventory lists for management.
- Pre-treat and rinse heavily soiled laundry as needed.
- Operate and maintain washing machines, dryers, and irons effectively and responsibly.
- Clean and maintain laundry equipment regularly and report any malfunctions.
- Keep the laundry room clean and organized at all times.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Be flexible and assist with other duties as needed to support smooth operations.
Candidate Skills and Experience:
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in hospitality is beneficial but not required.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10kg without assistance.
- Good command of English with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Strong attention to detail, able to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Friendly, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality service.
Personal Qualities:
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Flexible to work a 6-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically fit with a proactive attitude and hands-on work ethic.
