Job Responsibilities

• Ensure a world-class customer service experience by efficiently handling all point-of-sale transactions in line with company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Record and process customer transactions with 100% accuracy, minimizing the risk of errors and fraud.
• Manage cash flow and ensure secure handling of payments.
• Maintain strong knowledge of current promotions, sales, and company loyalty programs such as Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, Momentum Multiply, and eBucks.
• Support customers with any queries regarding merchandise and product returns.
• Follow security protocols to ensure the safety of cash and store operations.

Key Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification
• Minimum of 6 months’ cashier experience in a fast-paced retail environment
• Computer literacy – proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong command of English language (written and verbal)
• Numerical skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints effectively
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to maintain professional relationships
• Knowledge of handling cash registers and maintaining accurate financial records

Special Conditions

• Must have reliable transport or reside close to the store
• South African citizen with a clear credit and criminal record
