Job Summary:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking skilled Cashiers to join our Berea Pharmacy team in East London. If you have a passion for providing exceptional customer service while handling financial transactions, this role is for you. Ensure seamless transactions, assist in reducing fraud risk, and enhance the customer shopping experience. This position involves working with our advanced POS systems and adhering to strict security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record customer transactions accurately following Dis-Chem’s standard operating procedures.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships and offer superior customer service.
• Be knowledgeable about current promotions, loyalty programs (including eBucks, Discovery Health, Momentum Multiply, etc.).
• Handle various payment methods: cash, credit cards, vouchers, and more.
• Ensure compliance with data security and store policies, minimizing the risk of fraud.
• Manage cash flow responsibly, ensuring the safe and confidential handling of daily takings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric qualification.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in cashier/till operations.
• Proficient in MS Office and strong numerical skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of a third language is advantageous.
• Customer service orientation with strong problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work flexible retail hours.
