Role Overview

This position requires a qualified Millwright to install, maintain, test, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment at the plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for minimizing downtime, ensuring optimal equipment performance, and adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

• Education and Certification:
  • Grade 12/NQF4.
  • Valid Trade Certificate: Millwright (essential).
• Experience:
  • Strong mechanical and electrical expertise across both fields.
• Additional:
  • Code B driver’s license.
  • Clear criminal record.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance:
   • Install, maintain, repair, and commission electrical and mechanical equipment.
   • Conduct preventative maintenance and fault finding.
2. Downtime Reduction:
   • Reduce breakdowns and downtime periods to minimize costs.
   • Continuously improve equipment performance.
3. Compliance and Reporting:
   • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
   • Report machine failures and maintain accurate log sheets and job cards.
4. Collaboration and Training:
   • Liaise with internal departments to ensure quality services.
   • Mentor team members to enhance productivity and adherence to standards.
