Role Overview
This position involves supporting the Occupational Nurse in conducting medical surveillance and wellness programs within the VKB Group. The role includes extensive traveling to various sites, driving the Occupational Health Mobile Unit, and assisting in occupational health-related activities.
Job Requirements
- Education:
- Grade 12/NQF 4 equivalent.
- Certificates in Audiometry, Spirometry, and Vision Screening (advantageous).
- Experience & Skills:
- Valid driver’s license for at least 10 years.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Strong responsibility, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Additional:
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Must successfully complete designated courses (Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision Screening, Dover drivers test) within the first three months of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Vehicle Maintenance:
- Drive the VKB Occupational Health Mobile Unit.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure maintenance as needed.
- Health Surveillance Assistance:
- Support the Occupational Nurse in medical surveillance examinations.
- Assist with wellness initiatives, entry/exit medicals, and stock management.
- Coordination & Reporting:
- Assist with organizing medicals, site visits, and health-related activities.
- Help manage and report occupational health diseases.
