About the Role:

Empact Group is seeking an experienced Storeman (Healthcare) to join their Food Solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling stock, liaising with suppliers and staff, and supervising the store associate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stock Control: Administer and manage stock, ensuring the right quantities and prices match orders and invoices.
• Supplier Liaison: Place orders with suppliers and ensure proper delivery and quality checks upon receipt.
• Issuing & Weighing: Distribute stock/groceries to various departments and weigh food products for staff production.
• Supervision: Oversee the storeroom, fridge, and freezer operations. Ensure cleanliness, security, and proper storage.
• Stock Take: Assist with weekly and monthly stocktakes and maintain minimum/maximum stock levels.
• Quality Control: Ensure all food products meet quality standards before issuing and during storage.

Education & Experience:

• 2 years of experience in a logistics environment.
• Matric is required; a Logistics qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in a hospitality environment is preferred but not essential (training will be provided).
• Supervisory experience and system knowledge are beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Skills & Competencies:

• Computer literacy and ability to work with numbers and calculations.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Communication skills and the ability to work autonomously under pressure.
• Ability to delegate and supervise effectively.
