Job Purpose
Ensure proper upkeep of Necsa site gardens by performing gardening and landscaping services to meet cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards as per Necsa and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) guidelines.
Key Performance Areas
1. Business Continuity and Efficiency
- Install seasonal flower designs and landscapes.
- Clean and maintain common areas and dustbins.
- Perform tasks based on weekly and monthly schedules.
- Conduct ad hoc maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and maintain plant health.
- Mow, trim, and fertilize green areas.
- Mulch, edge, and weed gardens.
- Prune and trim bushes and trees.
- Maintain gardening tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Manage pests and maintain cleanliness in gardens and open spaces.
- Water, fertilize, and trim plants.
- Identify and resolve issues like diseases or pest infestations affecting plants.
- Recommend garden improvements.
- Follow safety protocols for equipment and chemical usage.
2. SHEQ Compliance
- Comply with Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) standards.
- Promote improvements in SHEQ processes.
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with industrial gardening equipment.
- Knowledge of gardening chemicals, supplies, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competencies:
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.

- Adaptable, team player with problem-solving skills.
- Ethical and customer-focused.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 10.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role; landscaping experience is advantageous.
