Job Purpose
The Quality Control Technician will report to the Quality Control Manager and be responsible for testing raw materials, intermediate products, and final products at NTP Production facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Key Performance Areas
General and Task Management
- Implement and maintain Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Ensure safety and maintain general housekeeping of laboratories.
- Propose and implement process optimizations and improvements.
- Prepare and analyze samples according to SOPs.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Prepare reagents and solutions for testing.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials, intermediates, and final products.
- Use laboratory equipment, including titrators, pH/conductivity meters, IC, HPLC, GC, UV-VIS spectrophotometers.
- Perform routine analysis and support out-of-specification (OOS) investigations.
- Provide accurate results to internal customers.
Testing and Reporting
- Record, interpret, and report test results, including deviations and OOS findings.
- Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure compliance with management systems.
- Participate in OOS investigations, deviations, and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Technical Maintenance
- Ensure laboratory equipment and supplies are clean, functional, and well-maintained.
- Perform SHEQ checks and report deviations to the QC Manager.
Knowledge and Skills
- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical testing methods and compliance standards.
- Proficient in laboratory equipment operation (HPLC, GC, UV-VIS spectrophotometer).
- Familiarity with HPLC and GC software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in preparing technical reports, protocols, and procedures.
- Experienced in utilizing LIMS software.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and cGMP regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in a pharmaceutical laboratory.
- Exposure to cGMP regulations.
- Other Requirements:
- Medically fit for radiation and chemical work.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn beyond laboratory activities.
