Role Overview

We are seeking an Admin Assistant for our Mechanization department to oversee internal administration within the Wholesale sub-department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate effective communication and attention to detail.


Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 (A B.Com is an advantage).
  • Experience: 5 years proven experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Computer literate (Microsoft Office package).
  • Availability: Willing to work a 5-day week with occasional overtime (Monday – Friday).
  • References: Contactable references supporting qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place orders with suppliers for daily and seasonal stock.
  • Monitor stock levels (consignment and owned) and participate in stocktakes.
  • Report financial performance weekly (Actual vs Budgeted vs Previous Year).
  • Process electronic payments according to VKB policy and supplier terms.
  • Issue quotations for whole good sales to customers.
  • Assist with maintenance on the Mechanization website, blog, and AgriMac publications.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings (logistics, bookings, agendas, minutes).
  • Travel during stocktake season as needed.
  • Address customer and supplier complaints and queries.
  • Ensure compliance with VKB policies, including GRVs and stock code maintenance.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.
