Are you an experienced Maintenance Planner, Electrical Technician, or Mechanical Engineer looking for a high-paying maintenance job in South Africa? Tiger Brands is hiring a Maintenance Planner (HPC) to manage planned maintenance scheduling, spare parts procurement, and engineering stock control in its FMCG operations.
This role offers a dynamic work environment where you’ll play a key role in optimizing maintenance strategies, ensuring machine availability, and coordinating engineering resources.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Maintenance Scheduling & Work Allocation
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment.
- Assign maintenance tasks to artisans and technicians.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are planned, documented, and executed efficiently.
✅ Breakdown & Repair Coordination
- Allocate ad-hoc breakdowns and urgent repairs to maintenance teams.
- Track and analyze downtime data to improve reliability.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Coordinator, Manager, and Site Engineer to manage external contractors and service providers.
✅ Procurement & Spare Parts Management
- Manage the procurement, stock control, and availability of essential engineering spares.
- Maintain engineering stores with critical spare parts for quick turnaround maintenance.
- Work with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of maintenance materials.
✅ Equipment Upgrades & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in technology upgrades and ensure new equipment is installed efficiently.
- Ensure that electrical and electronic systems are correctly installed on new production lines and projects.
- Implement best practices in maintenance planning to maximize machine uptime and efficiency.
Who Should Apply?
✅ Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- NTC 3 qualification + Electrical Tradesman Certificate.
- 3+ years’ experience in maintenance planning or engineering maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, breakdown management, and spare parts procurement.
