Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a customer-oriented Cosmetic Consultant to join their Tygervalley store. This role involves promoting and selling Dis-Chem’s cosmetic and beauty products through excellent customer service and product demonstrations.

Essential Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Retail experience as a sales consultant
• Computer literate
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous

• Cosmetic, fragrance, and/or beauty experience

Key Responsibilities

• Escalate serious and unresolved customer complaints to the manager
• Provide high-level customer care and service
• Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetics demos, spray promotions, or activities
• Manage stock levels in line with Dis-Chem procedures, report on short, damaged, or expired stock to the manager
• Ensure attractive merchandising and displays
• Maximise store income by achieving department, brand, and vendor sales
• Keep up to date with products, brands, and retail industry trends
• Handle all cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty house promotions
• Manage Salon appointments
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies, SOPs, and health & safety regulations

Competencies

• Strong command of English (written and oral)
• Team player
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to understand stock reports and sales calculations (targets and commissions)
• Ability to work according to a task schedule

Advantageous

• Previous experience in promotions, personal selling, and sales targets
• Previous sales and promotional training
• Stock management experience
• Bilingual

Special Conditions of Employment
