Job Overview

CIRO is looking for a Workshop Technician – Level 2 to maintain coffee equipment, train customers, and ensure quality assurance at various client locations. This role is essential in maintaining top-tier coffee quality while providing technical support and training.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Workshop Duties

  • Maintain and clean the workshop, tools, and coffee equipment.
  • Strip, descale, clean, and reassemble coffee machine spares.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and repair faulty machines.
  • Maintain accurate records (consumption sheets, time sheets, tool checks).
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) regulations.

Customer Service & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct training sessions and evaluations at customer sites.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to enhance brand loyalty.
  • Assess coffee quality through taste tests, grammage testing, and equipment calibration.
  • Ensure customers use CIRO coffee products and meet quality standards.
  • Report any irregularities to management and keep customers informed.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic coffee knowledge and extraction techniques.
  • Technical service and repair experience.
  • Intermediate electrical knowledge (220V/380V).
  • Basic electronics and multimeter usage.
  • Logical and methodical problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12) – Essential.
  • N3 Electrical Engineering qualification (Advantageous).
  • Certification in coffee equipment repair.
  • Advanced Coffee Course Certificate.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Minimum 2 years driving experience).

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight when needed.
  • Strong time management and cost-effective decision-making for spare parts.
