About Us
Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Maintenance Planner to apply best practices in maintenance planning and scheduling processes. The goal is to optimize the use of workforce and improve machine reliability by assembling and coordinating necessary resources to perform maintenance jobs in line with the Master Service Agreement requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Delivery:

  • Maximize operating profit by utilizing planned maintenance.
  • Improve equipment reliability and availability through effective maintenance planning.
  • Execute daily, weekly, weekend, and annual maintenance activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve Maintenance Planning and Scheduling processes.
  • Review all required maintenance work to ensure preventative and proactive maintenance activities.
  • Estimate costs and time for planned maintenance work.
  • Ensure that all necessary parts, equipment, and documentation are available at the time of use.
  • Continuously improve planning, scheduling, data management, and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to schedule resources effectively.
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings and ensure maintenance tool time is above the set targets.
  • Maintain accurate and timely maintenance performance reporting.
  • Review completed maintenance tasks and update status accordingly.

Service Delivery Management:

  • Perform tasks as allocated by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Report safety hazards or workplace injuries immediately.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all maintenance documentation, warranties, and licenses.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with management and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and health and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to meet customer needs.

Customer Focus:

  • Develop and maintain a customer-focused attitude in all activities.
  • Address and resolve client queries or escalate as necessary.
  • Ensure that performance requirements and SLAs are met.

Skills and Competencies

  • Solid understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, heating, etc.).
  • Excellent customer relation skills and effective communication (oral and written).
  • Ability to plan, organize, and control own work effort.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • Studying towards a Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or equivalent qualification (advantageous).
  • Trade Qualification (Electrical or Mechanical – with at least 5 years of experience).
