Job Summary:

Clinix Health Group is looking for a Data Scientist to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will work on large datasets, design predictive models, and implement machine learning algorithms to optimize healthcare operations. The role requires expertise in data extraction, analysis, and reporting within a healthcare environment.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

B. Hons in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science
3-5 years’ experience in Data Science or Analytics
Healthcare experience is non-negotiable
✔ Strong understanding of Clinical Coding (ICD-10 & CPT codes)
✔ Knowledge of Material Coding (NAPPI & ATC codes)
✔ Proficiency in Modelling concepts, including GLMs & Machine Learning models
✔ Experience in data visualization & business intelligence tools


Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analytics & Modelling

  • Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.
  • Design and implement predictive models & machine learning algorithms.
  • Develop and deploy production-ready code for data-driven solutions.
  • Provide advanced analytics insights to support business decisions.

2. Business Intelligence & Strategy

  • Formulate data-driven solutions to business problems in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Research and present business intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide input in hospital operations, funder relations, financial modelling, and performance analytics.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency.

3. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to CHG standards, policies, and SOPs related to Data Science & Analytics.
  • Work with regulatory bodies and best practice structures in the actuarial field.
  • Address complaints, resolve conflicts, and provide expert recommendations on data-related matters.

4. Reporting & Cost Control

  • Ensure accurate, timeous, and detailed reporting with clear escalation processes.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities by optimizing data processes.
  • Monitor and manage budgetary controls within the Data Science department.

Core Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with high-dimensional datasets
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and statistical tools
Data visualization expertise (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Knowledge of healthcare operations and coding systems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and data-driven environment
