The purpose of this role is to provide timely and high-quality planned, preventative, and emergency maintenance on all plumbing-related installations and associated systems. This includes ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), health and safety standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Fault Rectification

• Perform daily reactive and planned maintenance on plumbing installations and minor building works.

• Attend to leakages, blocked drains, and other general plumbing issues.

• Conduct scheduled maintenance as well as emergency repairs on plumbing systems.

• Identify risks during inspections and report them for timely rectification.

Operational Delivery

• Execute job cards with proper check-in and check-out procedures in line with company and client requirements.

• Provide detailed feedback to the Supervisor and Client after completing work.

• Support a full spectrum of hard facilities maintenance services.

Quality and Compliance

• Adhere to relevant legislation and regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.

• Ensure all work is compliant with ISO 9001 quality standards.

• Follow company processes and service specifications during repairs and installations.

Communication and Teamwork

• Communicate job progress, risks, or concerns with supervisors and relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure that objectives and deadlines are met.

• Assist with minor building and facilities tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Educational Requirements

• N3 to N6 Certificate in Plumbing (Essential)

• Plumbing Trade Test Certificate (Compulsory)

• Grade 12 or Technical Matric (Advantageous)

Experience and Technical Competencies

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in plumbing equipment maintenance

• Experience working with digital control systems, tools, and fixtures

• Competency in basic electrical and mechanical repairs related to plumbing systems

• Understanding of plumbing-related compliance standards and building codes

Computer Literacy

• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook at an intermediate level

Legal Requirements

• Valid South African Driver’s License

• Clear criminal record
