As a Cashier, you’ll be the face of the store – playing a crucial role in creating a smooth shopping experience for customers. Your primary responsibilities include operating the point-of-sale system, accurately handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized till area. You will report directly to the Till Supervisor and work varied shifts during both trading and non-trading hours.

✅ Key Responsibilities
As part of the cashier team, your core duties will include:
🛒 Sales Transactions & Customer Interaction

Accurately operate electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems with an integrated scale.

Ring up customer purchases swiftly and issue the correct change or transaction confirmation.

Process multiple payment methods: cash, debit cards, credit cards, and digital payments.

Ensure the cash drawer balances at the end of each shift.
💼 Till & Area Management

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized checkout area throughout your shift.

Monitor till supplies and notify the supervisor if items like receipt paper run out.

Follow all store policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer interactions.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Education

Experience

Must reside within a 25km radius of Fairview, Eastern Cape.

Willing to work up to 6 shifts per week, including weekends and public holidays.
