What You’ll Be Doing

As a Part-Time Sales Assistant, your role will focus on customer service, product promotion, and maintaining a professional and positive store environment. Here are the key responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet customers warmly and offer assistance as soon as they enter the store

  • Offer product knowledge and suggestions to improve customer experience

  • Inform customers about sales promotions, product features, and new arrivals

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through friendly interaction and efficient service

  • Reach daily or weekly sales targets as set by management

Store Operations

  • Operate the cash register according to company procedures

  • Keep the till and sales area clean, organised, and professional

  • Maintain a positive in-store atmosphere to reduce losses and improve safety

  • Organise and manage stock, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves

  • Assist with merchandising and visual display to attract customers

Product Knowledge & Inventory

  • Learn about current and upcoming product ranges

  • Offer customers accurate information about products and availability

  • Assist with inventory control and ensure stock is correctly labelled and displayed

  • Help with reordering stock as needed

What You Need to Apply

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate

  • Prior experience in retail or a customer-facing role such as cashier, sales assistant, general assistant, or store associate

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English

  • Must live within 15km of Pretoria West

  • Must have a clear criminal record


Preferred But Not Required

  • South African citizenship

  • Computer literacy and familiarity with point-of-sale systems

  • Passion for retail and helping others

  • Age between 20 and 35 years (as per store demographic preference)
