4. Reporting & Analytics

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and performance dashboards.

  • Provide in-depth analysis of manufacturing cost structures, enabling leadership to make data-driven decisions on pricing, production, and procurement.

  • Maintain strict adherence to month-end and year-end close deadlines.

5. Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the finance team to foster a high-performance culture.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development to build future finance leaders within AFGRI.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration & Special Projects

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, suppliers, and banking partners, to provide requested financial information and ensure seamless communication.

  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, such as system upgrades, process improvements, and cross-divisional initiatives.

  • Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP and COGNOS, with the ability to leverage technology for efficient reporting.

  • Thorough knowledge of financial management techniques, IFRS standards, and South African tax legislation.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial reporting.

  • Solid business acumen and the ability to align finance goals with broader corporate objectives.
