About the Role

The Marketing & Content Administrator is responsible for coordinating and executing a range of advertising and promotional activities, while also providing essential administrative support to the division. The role requires a strong balance between creativity and organisation, with hands-on involvement in advertisement design, content scheduling, catalogue support, and digital updates.

This position is suited to a proactive individual who can manage multiple deadlines, maintain accuracy, and contribute positively to brand visibility and operational efficiency. Strong communication skills in both Afrikaans and English are essential due to the nature of stakeholder engagement and content delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Advertising Design and Content Creation

The successful candidate will be responsible for the typing, layout, and design of advertisements across various platforms. This includes preparing promotional content that meets brand guidelines and communicates effectively with the target audience.

The role also involves creating graphic designs for promotional material and videos, ensuring that all visual content is professional, accurate, and aligned with marketing objectives.


Advertising Scheduling and Placement

The Marketing & Content Administrator will compile and manage advertising schedules, ensuring that advertisements are placed correctly and on time. This includes coordinating placement timelines, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring consistency across advertising channels.

Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to ensure that campaigns are executed as planned and meet internal and external expectations.


Catalogue Support and Distribution

The role includes assisting with the creation, compilation, and distribution of catalogues for the Special Auctions Division. This involves supporting content preparation, verifying information, and ensuring that catalogues are distributed efficiently and accurately.

This function supports effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and auction participants.


Website Updates and Digital Content

The Marketing & Content Administrator is responsible for updating website content, ensuring that information remains current, relevant, and accurate. This includes uploading content, maintaining consistency, and supporting the digital presence of the division.

Basic digital awareness and attention to detail are essential to maintain content accuracy and brand integrity.


General Administrative Support

In addition to marketing-related tasks, the role includes general administrative duties within the division. This may involve document preparation, record keeping, coordination support, and assisting with daily office administration to ensure smooth operational flow.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a marketing, content, or administrative role

  • Excellent computer literacy in:

    • Windows XP

    • MS Word

    • MS Excel

    • CorelDRAW

    • PowerPoint

    • Outlook

  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (read, write, and speak)

  • Valid driver’s license
