Position Overview

The Building Site Agent will manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This includes on-site coordination, team management, subcontractor supervision, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a solid track record in construction site management, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day construction site operations and workflow
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Interpret and implement construction drawings, specifications, and project plans
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients for seamless project delivery
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports, and communication records
  • Identify and resolve site-related issues promptly to prevent delays or cost overruns
  • Implement and enforce company construction best practices and quality standards

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma in Building, BTech in Construction Management, or equivalent
  • 5–10 years’ experience managing building projects on site
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, workflows, and site management
  • Proven experience supervising subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and building legislation
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
