Position Overview
The General Worker – QPro Feeds role is ideal for candidates seeking agricultural production jobs, factory general worker vacancies, or entry-level manufacturing roles in the Free State.
You will support feed production operations, biosecurity processes, documentation handling, and yard coordination to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
This role is suitable for individuals who are disciplined, reliable, and comfortable working in a shift-based production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Biosecurity & Hygiene
- Clean intake and loading areas daily before operations
- Ensure strict adherence to biosecurity protocols
- Maintain hygiene standards in production areas
Documentation Handling
- Collect and process delivery documents from drivers
- Transport paperwork between production, lab, and dispatch teams
- Handle samples and ensure correct documentation flow
Yard & Traffic Coordination
- Direct trucks to correct offloading areas
- Monitor truck movement in the yard
- Inform laboratory teams for sampling processes
Operational Support
- Check intake pits and bunkers for blockages or overflow
- Assist with operational adjustments as instructed
- Support smooth production flow across departments
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an agricultural environment
