Position Overview
The Fragrance Consultant (3-Month Contract) role is based at Foschini, Canal Walk in Cape Town. The successful candidate will focus on delivering exceptional client experiences, driving fragrance sales, and maintaining premium brand standards.
This role is ideal for individuals with retail fragrance experience, strong sales skills, and a passion for luxury beauty products.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Performance
- Achieve monthly and contract-based sales targets
- Support promotional events, launches, and retail activities
- Provide feedback on customer trends and sales performance
Brand Management
- Monitor competitor activity and stay updated on fragrance trends
- Maintain hygiene and brand standards at all times
- Represent luxury fragrance brands professionally
Stock Management & Operations
- Ensure proper merchandising of stock
- Report out-of-stock items to management
- Manage stock control, loss prevention, and POS processes
- Follow all company policies and operational procedures
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client service
- Recommend fragrances based on customer preferences
- Build strong customer relationships and brand loyalty
- Grow customer database by attracting new clients
Teamwork
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve store targets
- Support team members and participate in events
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment
Administration
- Complete daily and weekly sales reports
- Maintain CRM processes and customer records
- Provide updates and retail reports as required
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in cosmetics or fragrance retail
- Strong knowledge of fragrance trends and products
- Must be willing to work weekends and shifts
- Own transport required
