Position Overview

Bidvest Prestige is currently recruiting a Training Officer based in Germiston. The primary purpose of this role is to assess, develop, and transfer technical and operational skills within the organisation to ensure consistent service quality and workforce capability.

This role is ideal for professionals experienced in training and development, HR systems, and operational skills training, particularly within the cleaning or hygiene industry.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Training & Development

  • Manage training and development programmes for operational staff
  • Assess employee training needs across departments
  • Align training initiatives with organisational goals and regional requirements

Programme Design & Delivery

  • Develop and implement training programmes and specialised learning content
  • Update and maintain training materials to ensure relevance
  • Review and select training resources from approved vendors

Skills Facilitation & Coaching

  • Facilitate training sessions for instructors and supervisors
  • Provide coaching and capacity-building support
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programmes and facilitators

Compliance & Reporting

  • Manage WSP (Workplace Skills Plan) and ATR submissions
  • Support transformation forums at regional and national level
  • Ensure compliance with HR, OHS, and quality standards

Financial & Operational Management

  • Manage training budgets and related expenses
  • Monitor operational costs impacting performance
  • Support financial planning related to training functions

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in HR Management
  • Facilitator and Assessor certification
  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Valid South African driver’s licence

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the cleaning or hygiene industry
  • Experience in HR-related processes and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of training and development systems

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of OHS Act
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Systems
