About the Role
The Cashier is responsible for handling all Point of Sale (POS) transactions accurately and efficiently. This role ensures that all goods are correctly processed and paid for while delivering excellent customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities of a Cashier
Cash Handling
- Ensure all cash, floats, and petty cash balance correctly
- Accurately capture all goods on the Point of Sale system
- Record correct payment methods for each transaction
- Maintain sufficient change at all times
- Complete pick-ups and cash-ups accurately
- Secure daily takings in the drop safe or vault
- Process transactions for deliveries, quotes, and inter-store payments correctly
Administration
- Sign, compile, and file all cashier-related documentation
- Maintain accurate and organised records
Customer Service
- Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service
- Assist customers during checkout processes
- Direct customers to appropriate staff when needed
- Maintain professional appearance according to company dress code
Store Readiness

Minimum Requirements – Cashier
Education & Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) OR minimum 1 year relevant work experience
Skills:
- Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
- Strong administrative skills
- Good communication skills in English and local language
Work Requirements:
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to work under pressure
