About the Role
The Cashier (Internal) role focuses on accurate processing of all POS transactions, ensuring that no stock leaves the store without being properly paid for. The position requires attention to detail, strong integrity, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities of a Cashier
Cash Handling
- Ensure all cash, floats, and petty cash balance correctly (no shortages or overs)
- Accurately capture all items on the Point of Sale system
- Record correct payment methods for all transactions
- Maintain sufficient change at all times
- Complete accurate cash-ups at the end of each shift
- Ensure all daily takings are securely dropped into the vault or drop safe

Customer Service

- Grade 12 (Matric) OR minimum 1 year relevant work experience
