Position Overview
Rosebank College Nelson Mandela Bay campus is seeking a Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
This role is ideal for an academic professional who is passionate about teaching, student development, and applied industry knowledge, with a focus on preparing students for success in logistics, operations, and supply chain careers.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Deliver lectures in Logistics and Supply Chain modules
- Follow module pacers and academic frameworks
- Design and develop teaching and learning materials
- Use digital learning platforms to enhance student engagement
Student Support & Assessment
- Prepare students for assessments and exams
- Identify and support at-risk students
- Monitor attendance, engagement, and submission of assessments
- Provide feedback through learning management systems
Academic Development & Coordination
- Participate in academic meetings and faculty discussions
- Support part-time lecturers and academic teams
- Assist the Programme Coordinator with results tracking and analysis
- Evaluate module performance and identify improvement areas
Research & Professional Development
- Conduct scholarly research or Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)
- Contribute to academic research outputs and institutional targets
- Participate in continuous professional development activities
Administration & Institutional Support
- Assist with student registration and orientation
- Support academic administration processes
- Ensure compliance with institutional academic standards
Minimum Requirements
- Honours Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 8)
- 2–3 years lecturing or formal tutoring experience
- 1–3 years industry experience in logistics/supply chain
