Position Overview
ADvTECH is seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher (FET Phase) for Maragon Mooikloof High School in Pretoria.
This role is designed for an experienced educator who can deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction, inspire learners, and prepare students for success in matric and post-school pathways within a structured, future-focused academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery
- Teach Mathematics in the FET Phase (Grades 10–12)
- Deliver engaging, future-focused lessons that challenge learners
- Support students in achieving academic mastery and exam readiness
Assessment & Reporting
- Plan and conduct assessments aligned with curriculum standards
- Provide accurate, timely feedback and academic reports
- Track learner progress and implement improvement strategies
Student Development & Behaviour Management
- Guide and support students in academic and personal growth
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and professionally
- Foster a respectful and productive learning environment
Communication & Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and learners
- Communicate progress and concerns clearly and professionally
- Collaborate with staff to improve teaching and learning outcomes
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate academic records and documentation
- Participate in school administrative processes
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures
Health, Safety & School Representation
- Uphold health and safety standards in the classroom
- Act as a brand ambassador for the school
- Contribute to a positive school culture and reputation
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7)
- PGCE or B.Ed (FET Phase) specialising in Mathematics
- Registered with SACE (South African Council for Educators)
- Police clearance certificate
- 2–5 years teaching experience
- 2–5 years specialist Mathematics teaching experience
- Computer and digital literacy
- First Aid certification
