Position Overview: Grade 5 Teacher (Teaching Jobs South Africa)
Pinnacle College Kyalami is seeking a passionate and qualified Grade 5 Teacher to join its Preparatory School team in Johannesburg.
This opportunity is ideal for educators who are dedicated to inspiring young learners, building strong academic foundations, and preparing students for continued success in the Intermediate Phase.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging, future-focused lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Planning and presenting high-quality learning experiences
- Conducting assessments and preparing academic reports
- Managing classroom behavior effectively
- Building positive relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues
- Supporting school brand values and professional standards
- Completing administrative and reporting duties
- Maintaining health and safety compliance within the classroom
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or relevant undergraduate degree plus PGCE
- Qualification in Intermediate, Intersen, or Senior Phase Education
- Valid South African Council for Educators (SACE) registration
- Police clearance certificate
- 2–5 years of teaching experience
- Computer and digital literacy
- First Aid certification (advantageous)
