About the Telemarketing Sales Agent Role

This is a target-driven outbound sales position focused on engaging potential customers, presenting products, and closing sales over the phone using dialler systems.

You will work in a performance-focused contact centre where consistency, resilience, and strong sales ability are essential.


Key Responsibilities

Outbound Sales & Target Achievement

  • Make high-volume outbound sales calls
  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
  • Present and sell homechoice products confidently
  • Handle objections and close sales effectively

Customer Engagement

  • Engage qualified leads via telephone
  • Build rapport quickly and professionally
  • Represent the brand positively in every interaction
  • Deliver a persuasive and customer-focused sales experience

Performance Management

  • Maintain high productivity and conversion rates
  • Work within a strict performance-managed environment
  • Meet KPIs including turnaround time and quality standards
  • Take ownership of personal sales performance

Data & Administration

  • Accurately capture and update customer information
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and company standards
  • Maintain system accuracy in real time

Sales Environment Discipline

  • Work in a high-pressure, target-driven call centre
  • Adapt to fast-changing sales campaigns and scripts
  • Maintain focus and motivation in a competitive environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (required)
  • 2–3 years outbound sales or telemarketing experience (preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong objection-handling and closing skills
  • Experience with dialler or CRM systems
  • Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette
  • Fluent in English and at least two South African languages (advantageous)
  • Strong MS Office skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Email)
  • Clear criminal and ITC record
  • Compliance with FAIS fit-and-proper requirements
