About the Sales Representative Role

The Sales Representative: Vehicles role focuses on achieving sales targets, engaging customers, and promoting the Auto Pedigree brand within the dealership environment.

You will be responsible for generating leads, assisting customers with vehicle selection, conducting test drives, and closing sales while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle sales targets
  • Identify and engage potential customers
  • Promote Auto Pedigree vehicles and services
  • Conduct product demonstrations and test drives
  • Negotiate pricing and close sales effectively

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Manage customer expectations throughout the sales process
  • Provide accurate product and vehicle information
  • Handle customer queries and escalate when required
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Vehicle Knowledge & Sales Execution

  • Understand vehicle features, specifications, and benefits
  • Stay updated on stock availability and product range
  • Assist with showroom setup and vehicle displays
  • Ensure proper documentation before test drives
  • Maintain strong knowledge of automotive market trends

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with dealership processes and policies
  • Handle documentation and customer records correctly
  • Follow all regulatory and internal compliance requirements

Business Development

  • Identify new sales opportunities and revenue streams
  • Drive customer retention and repeat business
  • Contribute to dealership growth strategies
  • Support promotional campaigns and sales initiatives

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement)
  • At least 2 years’ customer service or sales experience (preferred)
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own transport
  • Computer literate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work weekends and shifts
  • Basic understanding of automotive sales (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of local languages (advantageous)
