About the Finance & Insurance Assistant Role
The F&I Assistant supports the Finance & Insurance department by ensuring that all administrative, documentation, and compliance processes are accurately completed.
You will work closely with the F&I Manager, sales team, customers, and administrative departments to ensure smooth vehicle finance applications and value-added product processing.
This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance awareness, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Insurance Administration
- Assist in loading financial applications
- Support F&I Manager with administrative duties
- Maintain accurate deal files and application records
- Ensure timely submission of documentation and quotes
- Track application outcomes and maintain records
Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Ensure adherence to NCA compliance requirements
- Support CRA and regulatory documentation standards
- Maintain compliance with dealership policies and procedures
- Ensure correct document flow and auditing readiness
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in all transactions
Customer Service & Communication
- Assist customers with finance and insurance documentation
- Ensure customers understand available financial products
- Support the completion of all required paperwork
- Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders
- Enhance customer satisfaction throughout the finance process
Sales Support & Dealership Coordination
- Assist in maximizing dealership profitability per transaction
- Support sales staff with value-added product information
- Ensure smooth coordination between sales and F&I departments
- Help streamline deal processing from sale to approval
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of all applications
- Monitor document flow and compliance checks
- Ensure all deal folders are complete and properly filed
- Assist in resolving queries and administrative issues
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following:
- Grade 12 / Matric (required)
- 1–2 years’ experience in a dealership F&I environment
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of NCA compliance requirements
- Willingness to work weekends or overtime when required
- Regulatory exam certification (advantageous)
- IOB exam (advantageous)
