About the Specialist Technician – Service Role

The Specialist Technician – Service will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repair work on vehicles and automotive systems.

This role requires a technically skilled individual with strong troubleshooting ability, customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining high workshop standards.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Diagnostics & Repairs

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical vehicle issues
  • Perform repairs on automotive systems and components
  • Replace or install parts as required
  • Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and accurately

Maintenance & Inspections

  • Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Perform inspections on vehicles and machinery
  • Identify faults and recommend repair solutions
  • Minimise downtime through efficient servicing practices

Customer Service & Communication

  • Provide customers with updates on repair progress
  • Explain maintenance recommendations professionally
  • Deliver excellent service and technical support
  • Maintain strong customer relationships

Workshop Operations

  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Collaborate with workshop and service department teams
  • Follow workshop safety procedures and company standards
  • Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified Automotive Technician
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technician or service role
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service ability
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
  • Comfortable working in workshop environments
  • Ability to stand, kneel, or work for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces or elevated areas
