About the Role
SSK Agriland in Plettenberg Bay is looking for an experienced, organised, self-disciplined Driver. The successful candidate must transport inventory to the retail branch, supervise cargo loading and unloading, perform routine vehicle maintenance inspections and ensure compliance with logbooks and transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Delivery
- Transport and deliver stock and agricultural retail products safely and on time to the designated retail branch
Loading & Unloading
- Oversee and assist with the safe loading and unloading of goods to prevent inventory damage or loss
Vehicle Inspections & Care
- Conduct mandatory daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report defects and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate daily vehicle logbooks, fuel receipts and delivery documentation for operational audit compliance
Branch Support
- Assist with branch distribution requirements and perform related logistics tasks as directed by the Branch Manager
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate with demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven operational heavy motor vehicle driving experience
