Key Responsibilities
Customer Service

Greet customers warmly, offer assistance, and answer questions with a positive attitude.

Provide accurate information about products, demonstrate their use, and help customers make informed purchases.

Resolve customer concerns or complaints efficiently, ensuring satisfaction.

Promote special offers and sales to enhance the shopping experience.

Handle cash and card transactions, issue receipts, and process refunds or exchanges accurately.
Store Operations and Stock Management

Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring products are organised and recorded correctly.

Restock shelves promptly when items run low, ensuring products are always available and neatly displayed.

Assist with stock takes and maintain up-to-date inventory records.

Monitor and correct pricing or labelling discrepancies to prevent errors.
Cleanliness and Safety

Keep the store, storeroom, and kitchen areas clean and organised.

Properly dispose of store and storeroom waste in accordance with company guidelines.

Follow all safety, security, and environmental policies, including emergency procedures.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the General Assistant position, you must have:

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.

Previous experience as a General Assistant, General Worker, or General Clerk.

Residence within 25 km of Montana, Gauteng.

A clear criminal record.
Preferred Attributes
