Position Overview
Faircape is currently hiring a Waiter/Barman for its Heritage Manor facility in Somerset West. This role is ideal for experienced hospitality professionals who can deliver outstanding food and beverage service while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
You will play a key role in ensuring residents and guests receive exceptional service, from table service to beverage preparation. This opportunity is perfect for candidates searching for waiter jobs, bartender vacancies, or restaurant service roles in luxury retirement estates.
Key Responsibilities
- Set tables according to required standards and ensure cleanliness
- Change table linen and manage linen inventory
- Clean and refill condiments and service items
- Maintain hygiene standards in all service areas
- Provide detailed menu knowledge and recommend items confidently
- Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide full wine service to residents and guests
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle guest requests
- Address complaints and escalate issues to management
- Assist with stock control, audits, and reporting discrepancies
- Restock bar inventory and supplies regularly
- Ensure accurate billing and report discrepancies
- Maintain high personal hygiene and grooming standards
- Assist with private events when required
Minimum Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience as a waiter and bartender
- Barista experience (advantageous)
- Knowledge of serving etiquette and basic wine service

Working Hours
