Position Overview: Griller – Malekane
Pedros is currently recruiting for a Griller position at an upcoming busy store in Malekane, Steelpoort. This role is perfect for energetic and motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced kitchen environments.
As a Griller, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest quality standards while ensuring speed, consistency, and excellent presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and grill chicken and other menu items according to approved recipes
- Monitor cooking temperatures, timing, and portion control
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet brand standards
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards
- Manage stock rotation using FIFO principles and reduce waste
- Clean grills, utensils, and workstations regularly
- Assist with stock counts and ingredient preparation
- Support kitchen operations during busy peak hours
- Comply with all health, safety, and company policies
Minimum Requirements
- Previous kitchen or grilling experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Physically fit and able to work in a high-pressure environment
