Position Overview: Mechanic – Polokwane
NTK Mechanisation is seeking a skilled and passionate Mechanic to join its Polokwane workshop.
This role is ideal for hands-on problem solvers who enjoy working with agricultural machinery and want to be part of a team that supports the backbone of South Africa’s farming industry.
You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural equipment such as tractors and implements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quotations based on customer requirements
- Service, repair, and overhaul agricultural machinery and equipment
- Ensure all work complies with VKB procedures and standards
- Maintain accurate job cards, records, and documentation
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Handle warranty and guarantee claims professionally
- Support cross-marketing of VKB products and promotions
- Mentor and assist junior staff members
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Perform general workshop and ad hoc duties as required
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- N2 qualification – Tractor Mechanic
- 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical or agricultural equipment repair
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Clear criminal record
- Ability to work in a team environment
